New Feature: Sellers can use multiple shippers

Here at LEx – we’ve been trying to make it more visible what shipping company will be used to fulfill your order. Most of all, we’ve heard that LEx users want a choice. Sellers want to support multiple shippers to gain a competitive edge and Buyers want to choose the shipper (and cost) at the time of checkout.

There can be big price differences between UPS and Fedex for different orders and sellers are afraid to choose a single shipper and potentially lose out on buyers who strongly prefer another.

Starting today – all those worries are gone with our release of our new Multiple Shippers feature (trademarked). Under My Account → Settings → Preferences (or Trellis → Settings if you’re a Trellis user) - sellers can choose to ship with UPS, Fedex or BOTH (05.29.2020 Update: USPS is also now available!).

The world will know as soon as you make the change. Any existing listings will update immediately and display your new shipping options:

Multiple shippers works with both our new prepaid shipping system (currently in beta) and our legacy shipping system. For sellers participating in our prepaid shipping beta, buyers will see a list of choices at checkout

For other listings that use our legacy shipping system – buyers unfortunately won’t be able to see the shipping rates at the time of checkout, but they will be able to choose the shipper of their choice.

Please check out the system and let us know what you think or where you run into snags! Thanks

Awesome job guys, big improvement.

Thank you!

Just something to note: If the seller has listed contracted hops (located at their dealer) that will drop ship, then the dealer’s shipping preferences are used rather than the seller’s.

Solid work, @aj.hoffer, @shane.kunkle, and @darren!

Also, thanks to @tednjodie @brian1, and all the others who gave feedback that led to this enhancement!

You are very welcome John, glad to help.
